Job Summary The Director, STC Integration, is accountable for the successful integration of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) modifications into the De Havilland Canada C-415 aircraft and existing Aerial Firefighter fleet. This role has an end-to-end alignment between STC design, certification, and manufacturing, ensuring a stable, conforming, and repeatable production configuration. In parallel, this role will define and lead the strategy to develop in-house electrical harness manufacturing capability, transitioning from external suppliers to internal production over time. Direct Accountabilities - Integration Leadership: Own STC-to-production integration strategy and execution. - Configuration & Change Control: Ensure disciplined control of STC changes into production. - Industrialization: Deliver manufacturing readiness (Workbooks, BOMs, build plans) for STC installs. - Supplier Integration: Manage STC partners and harness suppliers; align design, change, and delivery. - Production Support: Enable efficient installation; resolve integration issues and drive corrective actions. - Certification Alignment: Ensure conformity between certified design and production aircraft. - Capability Build (Harnesses): Define and execute roadmap to bring harness design and manufacturing in-house, including NTT transition, make/buy strategy, and eventual shop setup and operation. - Organization Leadership: Build and lead a focused integration team across Methods, production, and supply chain. - Performance Management: Drive KPIs for schedule, quality, and configuration stability. Education Required Engineering degree (Aerospace or related) Experience, skills, and attitude required - 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or NPI - 5+ years leading cross-functional teams - Experience with aircraft modifications, certification, or electrical systems integration - Strong system integration mindset - Experience with electrical/harness systems (preferred) - Execution-focused leader with strong cross-functional influence Working Conditions - Maintain strict adherence to De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC) Health & Safety Policies. - Work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, confined spaces, heights, and around chemicals. - Must be able to climb, stand, kneel, lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull, bend, reach, carry, walk, crawl, balance, and use stairs. - Must be able to work shift rotations including weekends or night shifts, on-call or overtime as occasionally required. - Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for workplace safety. - Ensure the ability to maintain a positive fit test when mask use is necessary. - Commit to Health & Safety Excellence to protect employees, customers, shareholders, and the public. - For further information regarding a full list of working conditions, refer to the Job Demands Analysis.
