Be a cornerstone of support for students at UBC as a Psychiatrist in Student Health Services. Deliver mental health care through innovative methods including virtual appointments. The position involves direct management of mental health issues predominantly affecting the university''s students. You will engage in comprehensive consultations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient monitoring while facilitating referrals and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric consultations and treatment recommendations Lead individual and group therapy interventions Oversee triage and referral processes for psychiatry Collaborate with various healthcare professionals in student wellbeing Assist in the development of mental health initiatives and programs Requirements: Full medical license as a psychiatrist Experience working with adolescent and young adult populations Strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in care practices Experience in crisis intervention techniques Ability to document patient care accurately Utilize your psychiatry skills to enhance the mental health resources available to UBC students. #J-18808-Ljbffr
