Join LifeLabs as a Lab Patient Technician in Ottawa, ON, contributing part-time to vital patient care. You'll facilitate specimen collections while ensuring patients feel supported and informed. You will be responsible for greeting patients and guiding them through the specimen collection process. This role includes performing phlebotomies, ECGs, and completing special test collections. As a part-time float, you will also provide coverage at Greenbank and rotate Saturday shifts at the Carling location every two months. Key Responsibilities: Welcome patients and verify required information Conduct phlebotomies and holter monitor procedures Collect samples for clinical trials and document results Ensure client relations and address inquiries promptly Prepare specimens for transport to testing facilities Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Laboratory Assistant program Previous phlebotomy and ECG experience is advantageous Computer proficiency with a typing speed of at least 40 wpm Strong skills in patient service and problem resolution Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy Support patient journeys by delivering high-quality specimen collection and care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
