SAP Functional Consultant (SAP CAR / PMR / OPP & OPPS)Employment Type: Contract (6 months)Location: Toronto, ON (5 days in office)Rate: 100-130/hrIndustry: Retail / Consumer Services (Public Sector)Position Type: Existing VacancyAbout the OpportunityOur client is expanding their in-house SAP capability as part of a multi-year modernization program consolidating numerous legacy applications into a streamlined SAP landscape. Reporting to the Platform Owner, Core SAP, this consultant will play a key role in ensuring the organization can confidently support and continuously improve SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR), Promotions Management for Retail (PMR), and Omnichannel Promotional Pricing Services (OPP/OPPS) as new releases roll out and store deployments progress.Youll partner closely with functional analysts, developers, and business stakeholdersworking alongside an implementation partner during handover and post-go-live supportto stabilize solutions, strengthen internal knowledge, and shape a sustainable support model. This is a hands-on functional role for someone who can quickly spot design gaps, guide long-term fixes, and help upskill a growing internal SAP team.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and support SAP CAR, PMR, UDF, OPP & OPPS to meet evolving business needsPartner with stakeholders to elicit and document functional requirements and translate them into functional specificationsReview existing designs/configuration decisions and provide recommendations to improve stability and outcomes post-go-liveSupport testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT (planning, execution support, and defect triage)Provide functional expertise through cutover/handover and early-life support, helping identify gaps, defects, and backlog itemsTriage and resolve complex issues and escalations (Level 3-style support), collaborating with developers and technical teams as neededMonitor solution performance and support troubleshooting in partnership with IT and delivery teamsMaintain and improve functional documentation (configuration/processes/procedures) and contribute to knowledge transfer materialsTrain and coach internal team members on module functionality, support processes, and best practicesParticipate in delivery rituals including planning, status updates, and progress reporting; support change adoption activitiesWhat You BringBachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent related experience3+ years experience as an SAP Functional Analyst/Consultant (or similar)Hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting SAP CAR and PMR (OPP/OPPS experience strongly aligned)Experience supporting retail promotional pricing and promotions execution concepts (creation, distribution, results visibility)Exposure to POS sales data collection/processing within SAP CAR environments (e.g., POSDTA)Experience with SAP integrations and external interfacing (e.g., IDocs)Experience with SAP SLT ReplicationTrack record supporting SAP solutions in retail or consumer goods environmentsComfortable operating in large transformation programs and working with an implementation partner through handover/hypercareAbility to work in a blended environment: functional leadership with enough technical understanding to guide solution directionFamiliarity with Agile product methodologiesCertifications are considered assets: SAP CAR/PMR/OPP/OPPS, and/or ITIL (preferred)Exposure to related enterprise platforms/tools is an asset (e.g., Adobe, Blue Yonder, GK Software, Manhattan Associates, Microsoft, Mirakl, Opterus, Pegasystems, SFDC)Understanding of data governance and digital transformation initiatives is an assetNext StepsWe do appreciate all interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Clarity Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible recruitment process and workplace.
