Job Role: SAP P2P Functional Consultant (Contract)Location: Canada (Remote with occasional travel as required)Type: ContractWorking Conditions & TravelRemote Work: This position is primarily remote-based within Canada.Travel: Occasional travel to client sites or regional offices may be required based on project milestones (typically less than 20%).Note: As a contract consultant, you will be expected to hit the ground running, demonstrating a consultative mindset and the ability to work independently while fostering a culture of continuous learning within the project team.Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Consultant to manage and optimize end-to-end procurement operations within our SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring a seamless flow from requisition to vendor payment. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting global delivery models and driving process improvements across the Supply Chain and Finance domains.Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Process ManagementLead and drive the full P2P lifecycle including Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Goods Receipt (GR), Invoice Verification (MIRO), and Payment Processing (F110).Ensure the integrity of the 3-way match process and resolve discrepancies between purchasing, inventory, and accounts payable.Manage procurement master data (Material Master, Business Partner/Vendor Master).2. Design & ConfigurationGather and translate complex business requirements into detailed Specifications.Perform hands-on configuration in SAP MM and manage integration points with SAP FI (Accounts Payable) and LE (Logistics Execution).Collaborate with technical teams to design and monitor EDI, IDOC, and API interfaces for third-party integrations.3. Project Delivery & SupportLead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the creation of test scripts and coordination with business stakeholders.Provide L2/L3 support for incident management, performing root cause analysis to ensure system stability and SLA compliance.Support S/4HANA upgrades and enhancement packs, ensuring minimal disruption to procurement workflows.4. Stakeholder & Strategic CollaborationPartner with Finance and Procurement leadership to identify 'Gaps' and recommend scalable solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices.Support pre-sales and pursuit activities by providing insights for RFP responses or Proof of Concepts (POCs).Required Skills & ExperienceExperience: 68 years of deep experience in SAP MM/P2P.Technical Core: Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA (Public or Private Cloud) and ECC environments.Integration Knowledge: Proven experience with cross-module integration (MM-FI, MM-SD, MM-WM/EWM).Industry Specifics: Experience in handling Direct/Domestic Imports and complex inventory management.Problem Solving: Adept at root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead workshops and present to senior leadership.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in IT, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.Certifications: SAP S/4HANA Materials Management or Financial Accounting certification.Tools: Familiarity with SAP Ariba (CIM/CIG), Signavio, or Enable Now.Methodology: Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and ITIL processes; experience using JIRA or ServiceNow.
