The goal of the LCUC is to use their collective knowledge and national presence to provide technology leadership and innovation to enrich the financial lives of their members and strengthen the competitiveness of Canadian credit unions.The Large Credit Union Coalition (LCUC) is seeking a rare kind of Executive Director. One who leads not from the front, but from within and behind a highly respected group of CIOs shaping the future of Canadian credit unions. This role is not about being the smartest technologist in the room. Its about bringing exceptional leaders together, helping them find shared conviction, and transforming that collective strength into influence, momentum, and sectorlevel impact.As the Executive Director, you will unite, energize, and amplify the LCUC CIO group, creating the conditions for collaboration, thought leadership, and strategic action. You will help the group find the ideas that matter most, shape them into a clear and compelling position, and help sell those ideas across the credit union system. This is a role for a connector, facilitator, strategist, and storyteller, someone who knows how to listen deeply, synthesize perspectives, and inspire action without taking the spotlight.As Executive Director, you will:Lead from behind, enabling CIOs to be the visible leaders, speakers, and subjectmatter experts for the coalitionBring together diverse CIO perspectives to formulate shared strategy, common positions, and a unified voiceFacilitate highvalue CIO engagements that people dont want to missCoach and support CIOs as thought leaders on topics such as Open Banking, AI, Digital Identity, and emerging technologies, without positioning yourself as the heroTranslate collective insight into whitepapers, sector positions, and executiveready narrativesMarket and advocate LCUCdriven ideas across the broader credit union ecosystemStrengthen cohesion, trust, and momentum within the CIO group, personally and collectivelyHelp activate the considerable respect and credibility the LCUC CIO group already holds within the sectorThis Role is for Someone Who:Gets their satisfaction from seeing others succeedIs energized by facilitation, persuasion, and shared winsKnows how to make strong leaders feel included, valued, and motivatedUnderstands that influence is built through trust, presence, and clarity, not authorityCan sense when a group is in a lull, and knows how to reignite purpose and energyYour Skills & ExperienceYou bring a rare blend of strategic insight, facilitation excellence, and persuasive leadership. You know how to sell ideas, internally and externally, through clarity, relevance, and credibility. You are comfortable presenting to executive audiences and representing collective positions with confidence.Building Momentum & Creating EnergyYou have a demonstrated ability to reenergize groups, reignite purpose, and build momentum during periods of strategic pause or transition. You instinctively know how to make engagement meaningful, and how to create a sense of momentum and opportunity that people dont want to miss.Developing and Elevating Others: You take genuine satisfaction in coaching and supporting senior leaders as subjectmatter experts and thought leaders. You create opportunities for others to speak, write, and lead, while staying largely behind the scenes yourself.Sector & Ecosystem Awareness: You understand how influence works across complex ecosystems.
