We are hiring an Administrative Assistant with a strong Technology and Operations background. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities. Prior experience in administration and first level technical support is required. About Our ClientOur client is a financial advisory firm based in Vancouver and has been operating for the past 50 years. They offer a variety of services, including financial planning and ongoing monitoring. Advisors from the firm work very closely with the clients, ensuring their insights and experiences are integrated into their strategic planning.About The OpportunityThis Administrative Assistant, Technology & Operations role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of administrative, operational, and technical responsibilities.Youll work across onboarding, IT support, data administration, reception coverage, and project coordination, giving you broad exposure to multiple facets of corporate operations. The position includes hands-on experience with Microsoft systems, CRM platforms, and technology upgrades, providing valuable technical skills that are highly transferable.About The PositionProvide first-level end-user support across core systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft platforms such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and CRM toolsCoordinate user onboarding, offboarding, and system changes, including access management, licensing, and invoice trackingSupport office technology including phone systems, printers, and AV equipment, liaising with external vendors for setup, maintenance, and issue resolutionContribute to system upgrades by participating in testing and implementation activitiesMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable electronic communication regulationsPerform data administration tasks such as reporting, data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation across multiple internal systemsAssist with front desk coverage as needed, supporting reception during absences and peak periodsDevelop and maintain internal documentation, including procedures and process updatesTake meeting notes and track action items to support team follow-upsSupport various operational, administrative, and project-related initiatives as requiredThe RequirementsMinimum 2 years of administrative experience in a professional environment12 years of experience providing first-level technical support, acting as a key point of contact for internal usersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced settingEffective written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPointExposure to Microsoft 365 administration tools (e.g., Entra, Intune, Teams) is considered an assetBasic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure is an assetExperience with reporting or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an assetCompensationAnnual salary range is $60,000 - $70,000Competitive benefits3 weeks vacation and personal daysRSP matchingFlex days programProfessional developmentAt Aplin together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
