District Manager - Asset Protection Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Asset Protection, the incumbent will partner in the Asset Protection Program supporting RCSS locations from Chilliwack to Vancouver, distribution centers, and franchise locations across the lower mainland and Vancouver area. Responsibilities - Shrink reduction support diverse operational initiatives relative to shrink and waste management. This requires analyzing key financial reports to ensure that asset protection strategies are obtaining the desired results. - Objectivity while working in close partnership with the District Manager of Operations, it is critical that the District Asset Protection Manager maintains clear objectivity and communicates and escalates issues when warranted. - In partnership with the District Manager of Operations, conduct an objective quarterly audit in each corporate store with weekly follow-up on exceptions. - Integrity investigations conduct investigations and interviews, in a timely and professional manner utilizing behavioral analysis techniques, of all colleagues suspected to be involved or witnesses to illegal activity such as theft or fraud. - Ensure that AP field staff respects the apprehension protocol and review all apprehension and incident reports for compliance as well as coaching opportunities. - Ensure compliance to all asset protection and operational policy and procedures through regular, documented, store tours. - Ensure that all asset protection partners have received the necessary training, while fostering two of our corporate values getting better every day and respect for the individual. - Ensure that the scheduling of all asset protection partners meets the needs of each business unit. Proactively identify staffing issues and resolve accordingly. - Maintain a positive working partnership throughout the organization (operations, all departments) as well as with local law enforcement, regulatory bodies, vendors and other retailers. - Assess physical security needs and liaise with the necessary support teams when required. - Provide exceptional service to all customers (internal/external). - All other duties as required. Role Requirements - 5 years of progressive loss prevention/asset protection experience. - Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada. - Post Secondary education in Law & Security or equivalent experience. - Ability to deal with sensitive issues with integrity and strong professional judgment. - Ability to gain senior management support for new ideas and initiatives. - Strong knowledge of the companys policy and procedures. - Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. - Certified Wicklander investigator an asset. - Frequent travel required within assigned zone(s) as well as at times to other provinces.
