The OpportunityReporting to the Senior Manager, Contract and Compliance, the Contract Specialist plays a key role in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex procurement contracts that support T&Ts operational excellence and risk management efforts. Youll work closely with stakeholders across T&T and Loblawspanning Business Operations, Legal, Privacy, Security, Risk, Finance, and Complianceto ensure contracts align with company goals, policies, and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings a strong foundation in contracts and compliance.You WillDraft, review, and negotiate various agreements (e.g., Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Ordering Documents)Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract terms align with company policy and risk appetiteAnalyze contract language to identify risks and propose mitigationsConduct ongoing reviews of supplier contracts and recommend improvements or restructuringProvide summaries and risk assessments for business stakeholdersAssist with privacy-related contract reviews and support privacy complianceMaintain contract trackers and respond to contract-related inquiriesSupport internal compliance and risk management programsHelp evaluate legal terms in procurement contracts to meet category goalsManage administrative contract tasks and documentationPerform any other duties as assigned by the Senior ManagerYou Should Have /BeHold a degree or diploma in a relevant field; a legal, business, or procurement background is preferredHave 25 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts (procurement contracts preferred)Demonstrate strong knowledge of contract law, risk assessment, and privacy provisionsBe highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyShow a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented work ethicBe comfortable working with cross-functional teams and senior leadershipHave excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is an assetBe proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Possess certifications such as CIPP/C, CIPM, or other privacy/compliance credentials these are an assetBenefitsPerformance bonusesExtended health/dental/vision careRetirement benefitLife/AD&D insurance Paid vacation, sick, marriage, bereavement leaves10% in-store staff purchase discountSubsidized staff mealShift5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am 5:30pm (Actual working hours may vary slightly by department, depending on operational needs.)Safety StatementSafety continues to be T&T Supermarkets top priority.
