As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will be embedded within the manufacturing facility, working closely with operational leaders across manufacturing, engineering, automation, EHS, facilities, and maintenance. Supporting a workforce of approximately 400 employees, including both hourly and salaried professionals in a non-unionized, high-growth environment, you will play a key role in aligning people strategies with operational priorities.We are seeking a results-oriented, highly adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex setting. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders to navigate growth, enhance performance, and build scalable people practices. Working in close collaboration with the HR Shared Services team, you will ensure programs and initiatives are effectively brought into operations, delivering practical, business-aligned HR support that enables continued success.RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Business PartnershipBuild strong, trusted relationships with operational leaders to understand business objectives, workforce needs, and evolving priorities.Act as a strategic advisor, aligning people & culture initiatives with manufacturing and operational goals.Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness in a high-growth environment.Employee RelationsLead and support employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace conflict, investigations, and disciplinary actions.Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes while balancing business needs and employee experience.Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on policy interpretation and best practices. Performance & Talent ManagementPartner with leaders to drive effective performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.Work with operational leaders to identify hiring needs and partner with the Talent Acquisition team to attract and hire talent aligned to business requirements.Support talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies across both hourly and salaried teams.Contribute to building a high-performance, accountable, and engaged workforce.Leadership Development & Capability BuildingSupport the development of leaders through coaching and training on HR best practices, people management, and applicable employment legislation.Equip leaders with the knowledge and tools to effectively manage their teams, elevate capability, and mitigate organizational risk.Operational HR ExecutionCollaborate with HR Shared Services to implement programs, policies, and initiatives seamlessly into operations.Ensure accurate and compliant employee data management within HRIS systems.Support the execution of HR programs across compensation, wellness, and total rewards.Data & Workforce InsightsLeverage HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, engagement) to inform decision-making and identify trends or risks.Provide insights and recommendations to leaders to improve workforce effectiveness and operational outcomes.Compliance & Best PracticesMaintain strong knowledge of employment legislation and labour standards, ensuring compliance across all HR practices.Promote consistent application of policies and procedures across the organization.THE INDIVIDUALThe ideal candidate is a seasoned HR Business Partner with a strong foundation in HR practices within an industrial or manufacturing environment, supporting both hourly and salaried employees across a diverse workforce. They thrive in organizations experiencing rapid, exponential growth, where change is constant and the ability to adapt is essential. This individual approaches HR as a true business partner - focused on enabling operations, removing obstacles, and driving performance - rather than acting as an enforcer of policy.Education & CertificationsPost-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.CPHR designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.ExperienceMinimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HR Business Partner capacity.Demonstrated experience supporting operations within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment, working with both hourly and salaried employees is an asset.Strong foundation across core HR disciplines, including employee and labour relations, talent management, organizational development, compensation and total rewards, wellness, and disability management.Proven ability to manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and corrective action.Experience partnering with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and business-aligned people strategies in fast-paced, high-growth environments.Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG) and comfort leveraging data, metrics, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to inform decision-making.Experience working in multi-jurisdictional or global environments is considered an asset.Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.COMPENSATIONAn excellent compensation package awaits the successful candidate.LOCATIONCalgary, AlbertaWORK ENVIRONMENTThe role is based at the manufacturing facility, operating Monday to Friday with one flex day per week, offering a balance of on-site engagement and flexibility.
