Were looking for a PartTime News Producer to shape and strengthen the CityNews brand. They will be a leader within our news operation as we evolve the way we produce and tell our stories to better engage and build our audiences. Our producers are called upon to oversee the creation of groundbreaking original and breaking news content on our streaming channels, our daily news programs, and our digital platforms. Various producing responsibilities will form a regular part of the work, including liningup newscasts, vetting news content and coordinating event coverage, and overseeing our 24/7 livestream channel. The position may require evening and weekend shifts. What you will do Line up news shows and take them to air Collaborate with supervising producers for show needs/requirements Complete, vet all production elements needed for air (fonts, graphics, outcues etc.) Find, chase, research news content for multiple markets Write content and vet stories Assign news stories when needed Locate visuals/materials needed to tell story Support and communicate with field teams (VJs, ENG) Contribute to /help generate story ideas and pitches What you bring An insatiable curiosity.
