The Opportunity We invite you to apply for a temporary fulltime (1.0FTE) Elementary Generalist (Grade1) Christian Program teaching position starting June1,2026 until June30,2026 at R.J. Hawkey Elementary School. This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS. R.J. Hawkey Elementary School is located in the City of Airdrie and serves students from grades K6 including the Christian Program and PreKindergarten Program. The Christian Program is an alternative program offered by RVS. The program focuses on integrating the Christian faith and a Biblical worldview in a public school setting. It is a community where people and relationships matter, where identity and culture is clearly defined by their Christian faith, and where an excellent learning community is provided for their students. Preemployment Requirements Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education. New/Recent Graduates only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report. Applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18months; or a list of updated references of a current/recent supervisor on your application.
