We provide specialized marine consulting and design services to a global client base. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Project Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a CPA candidate looking to build a strong foundation in project accounting within a professional services environment. You will work closely with project leaders and the finance team to support the financial management of projects, while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle. Over time, this role is designed to grow into a more senior position with increased responsibility. This is a handson role in a highperformance environment where accountability, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. Required Education and Experience Enrollment in the CPA program is preferred 35 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a professional services or engineering environment Qualifications Clear and professional communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrates initiative and a continuous improvement mindset A collaborative team player who works effectively across functions and levels Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems is an asset Familiarity with projectbased environments is an asset Key Responsibilities Support the daytoday administration and financial tracking of projects Coordinate project setup, updates, and closeout within internal systems to ensure accurate and timely information Prepare and process client invoicing, ensuring alignment with contract terms and project progress Monitor project hours, budgets, and milestones, and follow up with project teams as needed to keep information current Track accounts receivable related to projects, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue items as appropriate Work closely with Project Directors and internal teams to support smooth project execution and resolve administrative or billingrelated items Maintain organized and accurate project documentation Support monthend close activities, including reconciliations and preparation of projectrelated reporting Assist with tax filings and other compliance requirements as needed Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, and data accuracy within the accounting function Respond to daytoday inquiries related to project status, billing, and documentation What Were Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, is eager to learn, and is motivated to grow into a more senior role over time.
