This position may be scheduled at any of the following sites: Charlton Campus (Hamilton Downtown) Application Dates Opening Date: 21/04/2026 Closing Date: 28/04/2026 Applications must be received online by 12:00 midnight on the Closing Date Position Summary The Registered Practical Nurse, under the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Department of Nursing, functions as a member of the nursing team to provide preventative, educational and/or supportive care, as defined within their scope of practice. Basic knowledge, decision making and communication techniques are employed in assessing, planning and implementing nursing care and lactation support services. Qualifications Registered Practical Nursing Diploma Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Current certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Perinatal Certificate from a recognized college program Minimum of current 2 years working in a Women''s & Infants'' program Healthcare provider CPR Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, maintaining good interpersonal relationships. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Ability to set own workload priorities. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Excellent problem-solving and organization skills. Experience with computers, data entry and patient information system.
