Qualifications / Requirements Section A Prerequisites Principal Qualifications as identified in the Education Act and regulations and completion of PQP Part1. Completion of Religious Renewal as per Board Policy (internal candidates). Completion of Religious Education Part1. At least five (5) years teaching experience, with a minimum of three years as a permanent teacher. At least two (2) years of demonstrated leadership in any of the following areas: Principal Intern. HWCDSB Leadership Program. Department Head, Consultant. Special Education Resource Teacher. Teacher in Charge / VP Designate. Other demonstrated leadership. Section B At Time of Appointment PQP Part2. Religious Education Part2. Section C It is understood that the Special Education for Administrators Additional Qualification and/or Special Education Specialist course will be completed by the end of the 2nd year of appointment (preference given to individuals who have already completed it). Required Documentation Current pastoral letter of reference from home parish priest. Resume/CV and cover letter. Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
