About Grandview Kids Grandview Kids provides an array of specialized programs, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinical treatments to children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs. Programs and services which are delivered at the Centre, in the community, at schools, and inhome include: medical consultation, assessment, and diagnosis; audiology; autism support; complex care program; occupational therapy; physiotherapy; respite services; social work; speechlanguage pathology; therapeutic recreation; and family engagement. Grandview Kids actively participates in research to support innovation in rehabilitation science, to advance organizational capabilities, and to better serve caregivers and the developmental needs of their children and adolescents. Position Details Contract Full Time 37.5 hours per week (1FTE) Salary Range $37.94 to $47.91 per hour, depending upon experience Contract Duration April 2026 to October 2027 On Site/In Person Responsibilities Knowledge and experience in completing SpeechLanguage Pathology assessment and providing treatment to children and youth with neurodevelopmental or other disorders is essential and considered a strong asset. Completes assessments on clients referred for SpeechLanguage Pathology Services to identify problem areas. Previous experience working in an interdisciplinary team is preferred. Establishes written treatment goals and plans, and may contribute to service plans for behaviour services or other interprofessional plans to address client needs in collaboration with client, family and/or alternate caregivers. Provides direct and indirect client care in accordance with the treatment plan. Participates in prevention activities and evaluates the impact of speechlanguage pathology intervention on identified problems. Maintains communication with all other team members regarding client care. Documents speechlanguage pathology involvement in client care. Oversees activities in the speechlanguage pathology area which may be carried out by Communicative Disorders Assistants. Ensures that the environment of the speechlanguage pathology treatment area meets clients needs. Maintains clinical competence and participates in education, orientation and public relations as required; performs designated administrative duties. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology or equivalent. Current registration in College of Audiology and Speech/Language Pathology of Ontario (CASPLO) required. New SLP graduates: successful completion of Canadian Entry to Practice Exam or registered to complete Canadian Entry to Practice Exam. Experience in augmentative communication. Knowledge of a variety of service delivery models (e.g. consultation, mediator training, individual/group treatment, parent education, etc.). Working knowledge of the principles and practices of the profession. Specialized knowledge of pediatric disabilities (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder). Experience with children in all age groups. Multidisciplinary client management. Welldeveloped communication skills including verbal, nonverbal, listening, negotiation and presentation. Fluency in French is an asset. Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle, or access to reliable/appropriate transportation. This position is a member of the bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and as such will be bound under the terms of the collective agreement.
