Job Description We are looking for a Brand & PR Director to join the MEA & APAC regional brand team at Ennismore. Based in Bangkok this is an exciting new role in our fast-growing company that will lead PR, Partnerships and Brand Experience across the Asia region with a focus on Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Maldives and a working knowledge of marketing in Hong Kong & China. Reporting to the EVP Brand Marketing for the region (based in Dubai), the position will play a critical role in launching new brands and restaurants in the region, working extremely closely with the local property teams on cultural collaborations and PR & marketing strategies. The role also supports the EVP in leading the global brand vision and initiatives for the Mondrian brand, working with regional homebases to execute these initiatives. You will be the brand and PR face of Ennismore in the region representing Ennismore at key hospitality events plus regular travel to properties to support and collaborate on marketing plans, bringing your wealth of experience working with media, KOLs and brand partners across the key markets to make magical things happen. What youll do Lead PR for Ennismore across the region, owning and maintaining relationships with key journalists in important feeder markets. Take ownership of launching new properties from a communications perspective, including researching and selecting new property PR agencies, delivering media timelines and strategies, press releases, and influencer relations. Execute a PR strategy that enhances the reach and reputation of Ennismores brands, ensuring PR campaigns and resulting coverage support the brands on their quest to be the most respected and innovative hospitality companies. Provide continuous PR support to on-property PR or marketing leads, maintaining close relationships with properties to deliver strong coverage. Create press materials for global stories for the Mondrian brand, working with regional colleagues to launch new brand narratives relevant for all markets. Regional Strategy for Cultural Partnerships Forge strong relationships across different industries to understand partner opportunities. Keep a pulse on industry and market trends and drive innovative thinking in hospitality through partnership opportunities. Support properties to identify preferred partnerships that align with our marketing strategies. Secure partnerships, often in collaboration with our global partnerships or F&B teams, and manage relationships while executing campaigns that deliver partner promises. Ensure partnerships support our strategic goals, including content, social media, PR and commercial performance. Brand Integrity & Recruitment Lead recruitment for new brand managers for new openings, ensuring they possess the right experience to lead local property marketing. Onboard new brand managers, reinforcing the brand positioning, pillars and standards, and acting as a supportive buddy. Collaborate with properties to bring the brand story to life across all guest experience and drive action and change across key functions when needed. Spend time in new properties to mentor brand teams and offer tips on supporting other departments and collaborating with central teams. Marketing Strategy & Cultural Programming Review new opening and annual property marketing strategies with the regional marketing team, focusing on cultural programming and partner selection. Ensure plans help meet commercial targets, grow databases and followings, while supporting each brands DNA. Qualifications Networker, people person, cultural marketing fanatic, and someone who gets the pulse of the industry. Possesses a thick black book of media contacts across travel and food & drink, especially in Asia. Strong writer with the ability to draft and edit engaging press releases. Creative campaign thinker capable of translating ideas from ideation to delivery. Obsession with fashion, arts, design, literature, tech and brands, with meaningful ideas that resonate. Can think globally & locally, identifying opportunities that resonate worldwide or locally. Brand guardian who communicates and translates brand DNA to new teams, ensuring culture and standards remain intact. Builds mutually beneficial relationships with people and brands, creating partnerships that are invested rather than transactional.
