As a Registered Practical Nurse , you will provide compassionate, highquality nursing care that supports residents health, safety, and overall wellbeing. Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/ seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate Promoting the Clients selfcare and selfsufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education Postgraduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset Performing other duties as assigned What you need to know: Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. Current Medication Administration Certificate. Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
