Job Purpose The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the companys end-to-end procurement operations across multiple construction projects. This role ensures timely sourcing, cost control, and efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining quality standards and strong vendor relationships. Working closely with project managers, estimators, finance, and operations, the Procurement Manager supports project execution by aligning purchasing strategies with project timelines, budgets, and company objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and services Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring consistency with pricing, quantities, and delivery Collaborate with estimating and project teams to support accurate material pricing and budgeting Identify, source, and onboard new suppliers, subcontractors, and installation crews Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency Maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors and partners Coordinate material deliveries to multiple construction sites Manage domestic shipping using internal fleet and third-party carriers Oversee international shipments, including container scheduling, customs clearance, and tracking Monitor material requirements across active projects to prevent delays Track lead times and proactively follow up on critical deliveries Ensure proper allocation and tracking of materials across sites Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze project plans to determine material requirements Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor for flooring and construction projects Utilize QuickBooks to generate Purchase Orders, track expenses, and issue client invoices (progress and final billing) Manage and coordinate payments for subcontractors upon successful completion of work Source, schedule, and coordinate installation crews and subcontractors for on-site work Oversee project timelines and ensure alignment between procurement, labor, and delivery schedules Support full project lifecycle from estimation and procurement to execution and final financial reconciliation Track procurement and project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and controls Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Finance to ensure alignment Maintain accurate procurement, project, and financial records and documentation Provide regular updates on procurement status, project progress, risks, and timelines Working Conditions Office-based with regular coordination with job sites and suppliers Fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines Occasional site visits requiring PPE and adherence to health & safety standards Qualifications & Skills Required Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred 35+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within construction or a related industry Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, and procurement processes Experience managing domestic and international logistics Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and procurement systems Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment Valid Ontario drivers license preferred Benefits: Company events Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Vision care Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $65K $95K We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
