Position Summary We are sourcing resumes for two permanent fulltime vacancies and one temporary 18month contract. This field role is open to applicants located anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities include independently conducting neutral and complex workplace investigations across retail business units in Canada, with a primary focus on harassment, discrimination, and Code of Conduct matters. The role works closely with the Senior Manager, Investigations, to oversee and supervise investigations. The position requires expertise in applicable law and policy, including relevant employment, harassment and human rights law across Canada. What You''ll Do Conduct a high volume of sensitive and complex workplace investigations, including harassment, discrimination, and Code of Conduct matters, in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and best practices. Effectively communicate investigative findings, policy applications, and related recommendations to HR Business Partners and legal counsel, both in writing and verbally. Under the guidance of a Senior Manager, Investigations: Supervise a team of dedicated investigators to ensure thorough, consistent, and timely completion. Provide guidance on investigation communications, findings, and written reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, and appropriateness. Partner with the Senior Manager on performance feedback and career development. Take a leadership role with investigations involving government agencies, regulatory bodies, or legal claims. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to streamline investigation processes. Identify continuous improvement opportunities, including process enhancements and training. Develop and deliver workplace investigation training and professional development opportunities. Provide subject matter expertise to managers and HR business partners, building a neutral, trustworthy reputation. Qualifications And Expertise Demonstrated experience conducting complex workplace investigations, including highrisk and highsensitivity matters. Familiarity with applicable employment law, human rights, harassment, and discrimination legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in drafting reports and findings. Strong analytical and judgment capabilities to manage risk and make defensible decisions. People leadership experience, particularly mentoring or guiding others, is an asset. Bachelors degree (legal degree an asset). Bilingual (French and English) an asset. Skills Support investigators in workplace investigations, human rights, and harassment, prioritizing urgent/highrisk matters. Provide feedback and advice to management on investigations, human rights, and harassment. Give direction in ambiguous situations. Sound judgment for determining appropriate investigation and escalation. Accommodate concurrent and significant demands across multiple areas. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with sensitivity. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Work crossfunctionally and develop relationships with Legal, Compliance, and HR.
