Who you are: Geotab is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner who will act as a trusted advisor to designated business groups, developing and executing people strategy with respective business leaders to drive outcomes in employee engagement, workforce planning, talent development, compensation, culture and change management. The role ensures alignment with overall Geotab goals, policies and business initiatives, and supports a culture of open communication. What youll do: As a Senior HR Business Partner, your key area of responsibility is proactively assessing, diagnosing, and developing solutions to organizational challenges while providing daytoday performance management guidance and resolving complex employee relations issues. You will work closely with senior leaders, the HR team, and Geotab employees to foster open communication and ensure Geotab culture permeates all business lines. How youll make an impact: Accountable for the strategic direction of HR support for the Legal & Compliance and People Operations groups while ensuring strategic direction aligns with overall organizational strategy. Take a consultative and collaborative approach to support and provide HR solutions within designated business groups. Participate, develop and execute HR strategies, goals, objectives and projects in support of Geotab growth, people development and increased engagement and retention. Partner with senior leaders within the functional group as coach and mentor. Collaborate with leaders to develop and monitor career path plans for employees, including compensation plans and performance goals. Support leadership in building a culture of open communication and feedback and ensure it cascades through all levels of the business line. Promote and cultivate positive and trusting relationships with leaders and employees to ensure Geotab culture exists within your business lines. Build relationships, advise and coach employees and leadership on HR practices. Proactively assess, diagnose and develop solutions to organizational challenges within designated business groups. Provide daytoday performance management guidance to leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, maintain appropriate records of investigations and advise stakeholders in the progression of such cases. Maintain indepth knowledge of legislative requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks to ensure compliance. Develop, implement and administer new HR initiatives. Assist with the introduction of new or revised policies and process changes to ensure teams are appropriately equipped and continuously supported in introducing and managing these changes. Work with leadership on process improvements, programs and policies and facilitating changes. Act as a strategic partner in the yearend KPA process. Collaborate with the HR team and department managers regarding recruitment needs and fulfillment. Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics. Ensure crossborder consistency with handling of ER issues as legally allowable and report on performance management trends. Provide expert project leadership and guidance to team as HR SME. Support the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities. What youll bring to the role: 58 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, with several years in a senior capacity; experience supporting client groups within a sales organization is preferred. Experience with human resources policies and procedures. Comprehensive understanding of current HR legislation and employment standards. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand our business. CHRP or CHRL designation in good standing. Solid understanding of employee relations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to problemsolve to welljudged decisions. Strategic mindset, keen sense of priorities, and ability to pivot as the landscape changes. Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
