Overview The Retail Area Manager based in Grand Prairie shall provide leadership, direction, and accountability for the Retail Stores Team in a designated region. The role focuses on driving results through sales team management, customer/guest engagement, coaching, and mentoring using business KPIs. Manages multiple priorities with supervision of Store Managers, retail projects, and initiatives to enhance performance, profitability, and topline sales. Works with Retail District Managers, Store Operations, and Head Office partners to support growth and development of the regions retail team toward revenue, operations, and customer service targets. Area of Operation: Northern Alberta & Northeast BC. The position will be based in Grand Prairie. Responsibilities Lead and coach Store Managers and direct reports to achieve performance targets and enhance employee engagement. Communicate and align employees with the companys goals and mission; coach staff toward common objectives. Forecast and manage monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections; ensure staffing aligns with revenue targets. Oversee staff scheduling to reflect daily and weekly revenue requirements. Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to achieve targets. Provide direction to Store Managers and direct reports; lead training initiatives to achieve organizational goals. Identify and address operational and merchandising deficiencies; implement solutions and guidance for stores. Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures; respond to emergencies as needed. Develop positive working relationships with staff and cross-functional partners to support performance. Attend meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned. Travel regionally; regional travel is an essential requirement. Qualifications 35 years of multi-unit store management experience in retail; cannabis retail experience preferred. SellSafe and Selling It Right certifications required to work in Alberta and BC. First Aid certification is a plus. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email software, and general internet usage. Strong verbal communication skills; ability to speak clearly and confidently in business settings and conduct/lead meetings. Strong business math skills; ability to calculate discounts, interest rates, percentages, etc. Ability to delegate, set expectations, monitor progress of direct reports, and provide regular performance feedback.
