Job Summary Machine Designer Associate Mechanical; responsible for designing automation projects, including assembly machines, CNC loading devices, press machines, transfer equipment, and in-feed/out-feed stations. Reports to the Team Leader Technical and Senior Manager Technical. Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree or Industrial Designer Valid P. Eng license or EIT/OCETT Experience with 3D modeling Experience with CSA/PSHR requirements for safeguarding equipment Musashi Expectations Uphold company policies Follow all safety procedures and instructions Actively involved in company and department goals Follow Musashis 5s principles, quality, environmental, and health & safety systems Interact with all Musashi working peers in a respectful and pleasant manner Job Responsibilities Prepare specifications for automation projects as related to Musashi parts and engineering specs Create 3D models of automation projects using AutoCad and Solidworks Prepare 2D drawings for machining components and details Prepare Bill of Materials for automation projects Work with machine builders to assemble and test machinery Test and commission new automation in preparation for mass production Attend annual health and safety training including WHMIS and Lockout Tagout Personal Skills Exceptional people skills and interpersonal communication skills Selfmotivated and well organized Able to multitask Works well alone or as a team Flexible with good time management Excellent technical skills Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to supporting a culture of diversity and accessibility across the organization.
