The Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS) ministry provides stability and security for vulnerable Albertans, and the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program offers financial and healthrelated assistance to adults with permanent disabilities. Responsibilities AISH Application Team Lead: Provides direct supervision to CSD AISH Supervisors and Program Eligibility Assessors; serves as a program expert to internal and external stakeholders; consults on policy and regulation; represents the Ministry at consultations and appeal hearings; ensures program services align with Ministry policy and legislation; represents the director at appeal hearings related to eligibility decisions and completes administrative reviews. AISH Adjudicator Team Lead: Provides direct supervision to a provincewide team of adjudicators; supports staff in completing eligibility decisions and appeals within required time frames; ensures decisions are made in accordance with legislation and Ministry policies; adjudicates applications and participates in appeals activities as required. Qualifications - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fastpaced environment - Welldeveloped research, analytical, and problemsolving skills - Proficiency with digital tools and operational systems that support electronic, paperless case management - A commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement - Systems Thinking Shapes APS goals with a view of the entire network. - Drive for Results Works to remove barriers to outcomes, sticking to principles. - Develop Self and Others Encourages development and integration of emerging methods. - Relevant educational background: Bachelor of Social Work with 1 year related experience, or equivalent, or higher degrees with lesser experience as specified. - Strong interpersonal and problemsolving skills; consultative, analytical, and decisionmaking ability. - Knowledge of government and Ministry strategic directions, leadership, supervision, team building, and performance management. - Working knowledge of department resources, programs, services, and community agencies; Master & Subsidiary Agreements; Human Resource accountabilities; operational plan; departmental business plan; applicable Acts, regulations, and policies including AISH Act and related legislation. - Experience with socialbased programs, contact centre, and supervisory roles is preferred; knowledge of the AISH program is an asset.
