How Youll Succeed Provide resident care and services Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and provincial RN scope of practice requirements Collaborate with the resident or their substitute decision maker about needs, preferences and health status at move-in, changes in status and ongoing assessment Develop and evaluate plan of care and goals of care with the resident or substitute decision maker Provide supervision, assistance & oversight as needed Demonstrate professional knowledge of equipment used in nursing care Contribute to development and implementation of community policies and guidelines Maintain high standards of nursing and personal care Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and team care planning Provide leadership and guidance; act as a role model for nursing team members Participate in in-services and education with nursing and other team members Teach RPN/LPNs and PSW/HCA staff in relation to new skills Foster team learning and share knowledge as a resource across the team Who You Are Bachelor of Science Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or with the College of Nurses of British Columbia or College of Registered Nurses of Alberta Knowledgeable in the nursing process and geriatric care trends Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors with comfort, dignity, and respect Effective verbal and written English communication skills Administrative and computer skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheets and databases Interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs Proficiency in French and English is an asset What You Need To Know Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel they belong.
