Staffline is recruiting Senior General Operatives to work in Peterborough. Rates of Pay Training Period Day Shift: 12.71 per hour Overtime (subject to qualifying hours) is paid at 15.89 per hour Night Shift: 13.00 per hour Overtime (subject to qualifying hours) is paid at 16.25 per hour PostTraining Day Shift: 13.01 per hour Overtime (subject to qualifying hours) is paid at 16.26 per hour Night Shift: 13.30 per hour Overtime (subject to qualifying hours) is paid at 16.63 per hour Shift Patterns Day shift: 5:30am 6:00pm, 4 on 4 off Night shift: 5:30pm 6:00am, Sunday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Friday Flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the business. Transport is provided from 4 different locations in Peterborough. Your Time at Work As a Senior General Operative, you''ll be based in the production area and play a key role in supporting daily operations. You will work closely with Line Leaders and Shift Managers. Responsibilities Operational Duties Regularly work on the production line Sign workers in and out Assist with assigning workers to lines and ensuring timely start of shifts Conduct headcounts and maintain accurate records Compliance & Standards Monitor GMP procedures, including hygiene protocols (e.g. handwashing) Ensure proper use of PPE across all workers Oversee locker and canteen area compliance with PPE policies Supervise the smoking area to ensure health and safety rules are followed Team Support Support Line Leaders with daytoday tasks Help new starters integrate into the team Promote a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Our Perfect Worker Our ideal Senior General Operative will be a confident communicator who leads by example and is willing to work handson alongside the team on the production line. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to set high standards for yourself and others. You should be comfortable handling a variety of tasks, from supervising workers to ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. You must be adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing needs throughout the shift. While previous experience in a factory or warehouse environment is beneficial, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
