Have existing Heart Save Level of CPR. Demonstrate an ability to prioritize tasks effectively, properly plan for, and allocate the right amount of time and effort to complete tasks. Remain calm and manage stress appropriately. Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy, quality and meeting our residents quality of life requests. Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and identify and report any changes in the residents well-being to the Charge Nurse or Village leadership team. Have an understanding of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the Long-Term Care sector, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, Ontario Retirement Communities Association, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA) of Ontario. Work as a key member of our Village and Neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care, support new resident moveins, facilitate transfers to hospital, or any changes in resident medical needs. Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Physician during weekly rounds and update care plans and directions accordingly. Have proficient communication and computer skills in order to update care plans in the current system. Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role.
