CATHARINES SITE HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD, MONDAY FRIDAY POSTING DATE: 28 APRIL 2026 CLOSING DATE: 04 MAY 2026 UNION: ONTARIO NURSES`ASSOCIATION WAGE RANGE: $41.150 TO $58.980 PER HOUR POSITION OBJECTIVE: Working to promote nursing excellence, quality patient/client-centered care and high professional standards, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, integrated care plan development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. The objective of the Registered Nurse is to provide safe and competent care through the application of nursing knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. The focus of this role is in radiation medicine. QUALIFICATIONS: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario One year related clinical experience in the past three years in an outpatient Oncology environment Current BCLS certification Successful completion of Oncology certificate course or deSouza Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice course Successful completion of deSouza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate course Canadian Nursing certification (CNA) in Oncology preferred Current nurse competence as required for systemic treatment administration in Ontario Demonstrated knowledge of and skill with IV Therapy Initiation, CVADs, and safe handling, administration and disposal of anti-neoplastic medication Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated ability to develop an integrated plan of care Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting nursing practice standards as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and related professional associations e.g. Canadian Association on Nurses in Oncology (CANO) Applies NH values and professional practice standards, infection control practices and patient/client centered care model and service Integrates reflection, critical thinking, conflict resolution skills and relevant practical experience in problem solving Working knowledge of computers Consistent and regular attendance required #J-18808-Ljbffr
