Family Medicine - Sheet Harbour Family Medicine Full-time Expected Hours: Full-time hours (1.0 FTE) Zone: Central Zone Specialization: Family Practice Type of Remuneration: Longitudinal Family Medicine Incentive Programs Available: Yes Sheet Harbour Family Practice is a collaborative, community-based family medicine clinic located within Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital , part of Nova Scotia Healths Eastern Shore network. The clinic provides comprehensive primary care in a supportive, hospital-integrated setting with strong administrative and interdisciplinary support. Physicians practice alongside a dedicated team that prioritizes high-quality patient care, continuity, and worklife balance in a close-knit coastal community. Job Description We are seeking a Family Physician to join our established practice in Sheet Harbour. The successful candidate will assume the patient panel of a retiring physician and provide communitybased family medicine within a collegial, wellsupported hospital environment. The role includes clinicbased care, Urgent Treatment Centre coverage, and LongTerm Care support, with all services conveniently located on the same property. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive community family medicine Assume an established patient panel from a retiring physician Provide coverage for the onsite Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) Provide LongTerm Care (LTC) coverage at Harbourview Lodge Weekly rounding Participate in a shared call rota Overnight call for UTC/LTC (call volume is extremely low ) Provide occasional evening and afterhours coverage Collaborate with onsite interdisciplinary and allied health provider Expected Hours Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. As per the LFM contract, physicians can also provide a certain amount of virtual/phone call access for their patients after hours if desired. Occasional evening and afterhours coverage on site Shared overnight call for UTC/LTC (minimal frequency) Practice Highlights Collaborative clinic team including: 3 administrative staff Dedicated team lead LFM billing support Nurse Practitioner Family Practice Nurse One physician currently practicing onsite, with two additional physicians located in the same hospital wing Onsite allied health and support services: Social Work Occupational Therapy Dietitian Addictions Services Fullservice community hospital offering: Diagnostic Imaging and Xray Laboratory services EKG Adult Day Clinic Sexual Health Centre 6 inpatient beds Strong collegial support with integrated hospital and communitybased care Community Details Sheet Harbour is a welcoming coastal community of approximately 3,000 residents , located along Nova Scotias scenic Eastern Shore .
