We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accident Benefits Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This a 12 months contract position with an opportunity to transfer into a permanent position. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to a busy Paralegal by managing administrative tasks, conducting research, and preparing legal documents. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field to develop their career within a professional environment.Prior experience in Accident Benefits field is required - 3 years.Responsibilities:Completion and submission of all OCF formsRegular communication with clients and adjusters for advocation of benefitsWritten correspondence with clients, adjusters, opposing counselHandling incoming correspondence at the direction of the ParalegalPreparing LAT Applications and LAT Case Conference SummaryRequesting medical records via Tracument - Section 33, EUO etc.Tracking outstandings, approvals, denialsNotifying client of upcoming IEsDiarizing/calendarizing Case Conferences, LAT hearings, production deadlinesReviewing medicals, accident benefits filesSkills:Prior Accident Benefits experience, gained in a personal injury law firm is required.Strong client-service mindset with a genuine focus on advocacy and professionalismHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines and prioritiesCollaborative team player who communicates clearly and supports colleagues as neededEager to learn, receptive to feedback, and motivated to develop in the rolePost-secondary education.Completion of a Law Clerk or Paralegal ProgramExperience working with Clio, Tracument, DocuSign, and Outlook.This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to the office to sign up new clients.Pay - $55,000.00 per annum.
