Job Overview Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Medical Surgical Department at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Qualifications Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current B.L.S. certificate. One year of recent nursing experience preferred. Ability to fulfill a fulltime shift rotation. Medication administration course completed; experience preferred. Welldeveloped patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Efficient time management and prioritization of patient care needs. Ability to work productively in a demanding environment. Ability to perform duties independently. Ability to function as a productive team member in an interdisciplinary setting. Knowledge of programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office. Skill in interacting with patients and families to provide patientfocused, goaloriented care. Commitment to privacy and confidentiality. Excellent attendance record and strong work ethic. Proven experience in a fastpaced environment. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong patientcentered communication skills. Responsibilities Perform medication administration safely and accurately. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Prioritize patient care needs and manage time efficiently. Function independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary setting. Other Conditions Salary: $39.50 to $40.25 per hour, per the UNIFOR collective agreement. Must be available for all shiftsincluding weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shiftssubject to operational needs of the hospital.
