Monitor and analyze policy initiatives at the provincial and national level that could impact the rights and interests of Oneida. Provide technical advice and articulate complex ideas and information concisely for supervisors, Chief and Council. Research and prepare a variety of written documents, including briefing notes, speaking points, and work plans. Advise and assist in advancing Oneidas political interests. Qualifications Education: Postsecondary degree in a related field (e.g., Political Science, Social Science, Indigenous Studies). Experience: 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year working with First Nations or an organization focused on advocacy or policy development. Experience conducting research, analyzing information, and engaging in policy matters of priority to First Nations. Ability to distill large amounts of information into concise, easytounderstand formats. Knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture and issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure with tight deadlines. Collaborative, teamorientated with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational, planning, and timemanagement skills. Preference for candidates with community or similar roles experience within other organizations, institutions, or governments. Asset: Ability to speak French or an Indigenous language.
