Your Background Minimum of 10+ years of total Finance and/or accounting experience, including 7 years of progressive experience in commodity marketing for crude oil, natural gas, and/or power operations. 13 years of experience providing daytoday leadership, work coordination, and coaching for a small team of finance or accounting professionals. Postsecondary degree in Accounting or Finance with a recognized professional accounting designation such as CPA. Strong knowledge of commodity marketing accounting standards, settlements, and financial reporting. Experience with SOX policies, procedures, and control reviews. Ability to lead work through technical expertise and coaching in a teamlead or senior professional capacity. Working knowledge of SAP, BW and commodity trading systems such as Right Angle is an asset. Advanced Excel skills: data analysis, reconciling complex balances, and communicating financial results to crossfunctional partners. Your Role with Our Team Lead the team responsible for accounting and reporting to operations accounting teams the sales, purchases, transportation, and inventory information. Handle confirmation with counterparties, invoicing, and settlement of sale and purchase transactions. Accurately report monthly marketing results and prepare analysis for submission to corporate departments. Interface with front and midoffice teams. Provide leadership, coaching, and drive continuous improvement within the team. Ensure existence and adherence of adequate controls within the business. Support regulatory compliance requirements including periodic government submissions. Provide marketing inputs and analysis to support the annual budget preparation.
