Structural Engineer Hydropower and Dams Build the Future With Us Canada''s hydroelectric, dam safety and water infrastructure sectors are evolving rapidly; this is your chance to help shape that future. As a Structural Engineer within our Hydropower and Dams group, youll contribute to major hydro and dam projects that strengthen communities, enhance climate resilience and support longterm sustainable energy systems across the province. This position will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing the civil and structural elements of hydroelectric projects (development, rehabilitation), dam and hydraulic structures engineering, and dam safety. You will work collaboratively with public and private sector clients on innovative projects. Location: any Canadian office within Ontario or Atlantic provinces. Your Impact Deliver structural engineering design for hydroelectric facilities, spillways, intake structures, dam appurtenances, penstocks, gates and powerhouse components. Conduct structural assessment, analysis and rehabilitation studies for existing dams and hydropower infrastructure. Support dam safety reviews, risk assessments and regulatory compliance evaluations in alignment with CDA and provincial standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, hydrotechnical, environmental, electrical, mechanical) throughout planning, design and construction phases. Prepare calculations, design reports, technical memos, CAD markups and engineering design packages. Contribute to project delivery through construction support, site inspections and review of contractor submittals. Apply innovative thinking to improve resilience, sustainability and longterm asset performance of critical water and energy infrastructure. Build trusted relationships with clients, regulators and partners while championing excellence in engineering delivery. The Skills That Set You Apart Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent program. 10+ years of experience in structural engineering. Experience with concrete and steel structure design e.g., piles, heavy foundations. Experience in hydropower and dams is an asset. Multidisciplinary versatility, leadership skills, dynamic, teamspirited, qualityoriented and technical excellence. Strong communication skills. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600$151,800 MB & ON: $104,500$143,900 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $103,500$137,400 The final salary awarded may vary from the above range based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience and other factors.
