JOB PURPOSE** Supports and contributes to the implementation of the Practice Quality teams regulatory practice issues, resources, and programs. Collaborates internally and externally with system partners to complete service deliverables and support the advancement of CNOs purpose and strategic priorities.**II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Works collaboratively with the applicable teams to consult as subject matter expert on the design and development of regulatory policy, practice standards, guidelines, resources, supports and programs. Implements regulatory policy, practice standards, guidelines, resources, supports, and programs including CNOs Quality Assurance program. Responds to practice inquiries from nurses, employers and other system partners.**III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** **Education and Experience** Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a graduate degree in Nursing or related field. Current registration with CNO, and entitled to practice with no restrictions. Expertise in direct nursing practice gained through a minimum of 10 years in clinical nursing. Experience in the development of adult education including program delivery through Learning Management Systems. Experience with basic project management, quality improvement and change management methodologies.**Organizational Competencies** Consistently demonstrate CNOs Organizational Competencies: ** Innovation** Curiously cultivate new ideas with a desire to learn and a collective focus on the best outcome. ** Integrity** Conduct every interaction with fairness, honesty, and mutual respect. ** Collaboration** Work with the right people at the right time to make the best-informed decision. ** Well-being** Care for the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional needs of ourselves and others.**Job Competencies, Knowledge, Skills** ** Nursing Regulatory Expertise** uses in-depth understanding of relevant legislation (i.e. Regulated Health Professions Act, Nursing Act) and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework for nursing in Ontario, regulatory functions of CNO and application of regulatory nursing practice standards, guidelines and other resources to inform the nursing practice and support the implementation of regulatory requirements to ensure safety of the public; able to identify standards of practice and guidelines that need to be revised due to emerging situations. ** Analytical and Critical Thinking** provides expertise in practice quality when working in collaboration with applicable teams, providing insights on how programs can be delivered, to explore issues and needs, reviewing research and reports, and interpreting and applying relevant practice standards; uses knowledge of regulatory nursing practice standards and guidelines to make informed decisions regarding nursing practice. ** Communication** uses a variety of communication tools (e.g., email, educational sessions/workshops, teleconference, online platforms, etc.) to convey application of practice quality standards; uses knowledge of adult learning principles to develop and deliver workshops, presentations, and educational resources while adapting content to fit the needs of the audience; handles and exchanges sensitive and confidential information in a diplomatic and timely manner. Collaborates with system partners to exchange information easily and asks clarifying questions to ensure messages are being understood. ** Consulting and Advising** utilizes understanding of CNO standards, guidelines, other nursing practice resources and considers previous precedent to comprehend complex nursing practice issues, make recommendations, and follow ups with system partners to discuss outcomes. ** Relationship Management** builds, engages, and develops collaborative and trusting relationships with a broad range of system partners in public safety to implement and improve regulatory nursing practice and quality assurance programs.Hiring Range:$124,942.00 - $132,770.00Full Salary Range:$124,942.00 - $149,930.00**Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. the day before the closing date.**To be considered, applications must be submitted through CNOs recruitment portal, Workday.
