Job Type: Faculty Description: Faculty of Pure and Applied Science. Assistant Professor Vertebrate Biology. Contractually Limited Term. Position #: 20110. The role is for the period August 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027. Responsibilities Primary teaching responsibilities include BIOL 1123 Organisms and their Environment 2 (lectures), BIOL 3113 Vertebrate Diversity (lectures), BIOL 4123 Mammalogy (lecture and lab), and BIOL 4163 Ornithology (lecture and lab). The successful applicant is expected to have or develop a working knowledge of the tetrapod vertebrates of the Maritime region. Qualifications - PhD in Biology or closely related field. - Expertise in biodiversity of tetrapods. - Strong interest in teaching. - Evidence of quality teaching, such as teaching philosophy, student surveys, or other teaching-related activities. - Evidence of relevant scholarly activity and contributions to the discipline.
