Schedule The successful candidate must be available to work 12-hour day and night shifts and every other weekend, with flexibility to cover additional shifts as required. Please note schedule may change due to operational needs. Compensation Band UONA 01: $ - per hour. Contract length Part Time Temporary (Until approx. Aug. 28, 2024) Responsibilities Patient care As a Registered Nurse, you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for providing compassionate, patient and family-centered emergency care. This would be a supportive orientation to Emergency where you would complete the required courses with support from the Professional Practice Leader for learning opportunities. Requirements Qualifications Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS and ACLS. Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience. RNAO membership is preferred. ENPC certification is an asset or willing to complete within 6 months of hire. Excellent physical assessment skills are required. Proficient computer skills. Initiative Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain these same standards. Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required. Skills Demonstrated commitment to a patient-centred care environment. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team. Well-developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills.
