Registered Practical Nurse Contract Hourly Compensation: $39/hr - $41/hr Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Hamilton, ON. Were looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services. Duties and Responsibilities Perform duties in accordance with the Recruit Medical National Advisor (RMNA)/Recruit Medical Office (RMO) and daily operating procedures within the Canadian Forces Recruitment Centre (CFRC). Collect a detailed medical history based on positive answers on the medical questionnaire. Interpret medical information forms received from civilian HCPs and review laboratory results for completeness. Complete focused physical examinations if clinically indicated. Respond professionally and competently to applicants questions related to the medical examination. Interact with other LPNs and Medics from other CFRCs to enable interoperability, collaborate with Regional Reps and RMNA. Be proficient with recruiting management systems and CAF Health Information System, and be well versed in personal health information and privacy act. Manage medical files efficiently to increase productivity and achieve the annual strategic intake plan to meet CAFs recruitment objectives. Be knowledgeable about recruitment policies and directives, general medical standards and guidelines, policies on the management and storage of protected records, and be comfortable applying them. Qualifications The LPN/RPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) fulltime equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting. Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by the Council of the College of Nurses. Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice. Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C. Other Requirements Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years). Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years).
