5th Class Power Engineer Location: Ponoka, AB Were currently seeking a 5th Class Power Engineer to join our operations team. This role is based in Ponoka and will support facilities in Ponoka, Rimbey, and Lacombe. Its a great opportunity for a handson, motivated building operator who enjoys problemsolving and being part of a supportive, growing organization. About The Role As a 5th Class Power Engineer at Edon, youll play an essential role in maintaining the comfort, safety, and efficiency of the buildings we manage. This position involves a balance of daily building operations, preventative maintenance, system monitoring, and responsive customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform daily building operations, maintenance, and minor repairs Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and systems, identifying deficiencies or inefficiencies Monitor and operate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation, and life safety systems Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergency situations Participate in a rotating oncall schedule with team members Support clients through proactive communication and issue resolution What You Bring Required Qualifications 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (required) Minimum 2 years of building operations or building maintenance experience Valid drivers license Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, and life safety Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problemsolve effectively Strong communication, interpersonal, and timemanagement skills Comfortable using technology and learning new systems Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Assets (Nice to Have) Experience with Office 365 and Power BI Exposure to large commercial or institutional facilities We recognize the value of a diverse workforce and actively encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
