Position Description The primary role of the Communications Manager is to plan and deliver clear, engaging, accurate, and timely information that helps our members, staff, and guests understand the priorities, changes, key events and experiences taking place at the Club. Working closely as a trusted advisor with internal partners, the Communications Manager determines the Clubs communications strategy and develops content across multiple formats and channels, including print, digital, and social. This role requires a collaborative and selfdriven professional with strong judgement. Duties and Responsibilities Support the development and execution of communications plans and tactics Partner with and advise senior leaders on communications strategies and deliverables that are aligned with organizational goals Develop and oversee all member and employee communications, ensuring consistency with the Devils Glen brand Assist in developing and editing all promotional materials, programs, and services for various departments Create, manage and execute social media editorial calendar Support management of Club mobile app in partnership with provider, Pacesetter Technology Oversee management of Club website Assist in marketing initiatives and new member attraction strategies Support change management plans and respond quickly to Club incidents and issues that arise Produce engaging content for multiple channels, including web, digital and print signage, electronic newsletters, presentations, app notifications, and social media Monitor and explore emerging trends and technologies Coordinate Club surveys and data collection Define, measure, and report on communications effectiveness Contribute and maintain photo and video library for various Club uses Qualifications Postsecondary education in communications or related field 35 years progressive experience in corporate communications, marketing and/or public relations Superior writing and editing skills across a variety of vehicles Demonstrated success in communications campaigns and programs Strong issues management experience Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver quality communications with tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Design skills in PowerPoint and Canva Experience with the ski and/or club industry considered an asset Familiarity with Jonas Club Software, including Email Marketing and Pages website management considered an asset Hours of Work Ski Season (typically late November to late April): Full time, variable hours Shoulder seasons: Monday to Friday June, July and August: Monday to Thursday, flexible hours Must be able to work variable hours including weekends and holidays during the ski season Benefits Dental, Vision, and Extended health careincluding Healthcare Spending Account LongTerm Disability & Life insurance RRSP matchingoption Onsite parking Casual dress Ski privileges and programming discount Employee food & beverage program Discount at onsite ski shop and free equipment rental Club merchandise discounts Industry discounts Staff events and socials Compensation Salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 Equitable Hiring Devils Glen welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
