Job Family: Academic Leadership and Faculty Title of Position Professor in financial accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank is commensurate with experience. Two tenuretrack faculty positions, commencing July 1, 2026. Duties Teaching: strengthen quality teaching, employ excellent pedagogical practices, contribute to graduate programs and interdisciplinarity, and supervise graduate students. Scholarly: secure competitive research funding and maintain an active research agenda in accounting and related fields such as auditing. Graduate Student Supervision: supervise students in the Accounting and Control field of Telfers Doctorate in Management and in the Accounting field of the MSc in Management. Academic Service: active member of the Accounting and Finance section; perform administrative duties agreed with the section and the Dean. Language: preference for candidates able to teach in both official languages. Qualifications Education: Ph.D. in accounting or a related discipline. A masters degree with CPA designation held for at least three years may be considered. Professional designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Canada. Research: highpotential research program evidenced by publications in highquality peerreviewed journals and a track record of attracting competitive research funding. Language: excellent communication in French; passive knowledge of English is required, bilingualism is an asset. Teaching: demonstrated ability to teach intermediate and advanced financial accounting in French at undergraduate and graduate levels, including the CPA program; indepth knowledge of IFRS and ASPE; ability to teach in English is an asset. Other: familiarity with the CPA Professional Education Program and interest in contributing to management of the Telfer CPA program. Terms Vacant tenuretrack position. Salary Start salary for an assistant professor: $99,377 (as of May 1, 2025).
