Role Description This role is hands-on, physically demanding, and requires a strong focus on safety and adherence to process standards. Pipefitting Trade or similar apprentice. Other relevant experience in shop fabrication, welding, operator skills, millwright, and maintenance experience are all valuable assets for this role. You will report directly to the Field Operations Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Journeyperson pipefitting ticket preferred 2-4 years previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. A team player with good organizational skills Fall Arrest and AWP certificate would be considered an asset Ability to work independently, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced shop environment Good communication skills, both written and oral DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret company and customer supplied drawings and specifications to ensure quality work performed Installation and placement of major equipment Installation and supporting of spooling Skid layout for small bore piping Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe Read, interpret, and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (isometrics, P&IDs, G.As) Pneumatic testing of spools Be an active participant in the company''s safety program Shop Project Support Perform general and skilled labour tasks during the fabrication, construction of shop projects. Assist with material movement, receiving and tracking parts/equipment installation, assembly, and other support work as required Organize and maintain a clean, safe work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during construction phases. Safety & Compliance Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring all operations follow company and regulatory standards. Completion of SiteDocs safety system training and onboarding actions Wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including hardhat, gloves, boots and protective clothing (provided). Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and operational briefings. Report any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to supervisors and participate in the investigation and resolution of safety-related issues. Contribute to the overall productivity of the team, ensuring work meets or exceeds expectations. Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic while contributing to team and facility goals. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly. Perform repetitive tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in environments with dust and airborne particles, including confined spaces and potentially noisy areas. Capable of handling heavy equipment, moving materials, and performing manual labor tasks consistently throughout the workday. Other Skills Highly motivated, able to work independently and under pressure. Experience in equipment operation and maintenance is preferred (e.g., forklift, electrical equipment). Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English. Work a fixed schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunity for overtime.
