Founded in 1970, the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club has been serving the community for over five decades, offering high-quality soccer programs for players of all ages and skill levels. Role Description The Recreational Programs Coordinator works under the direction of the Club General Manager and will be supervised for some job activities by the Recreational Program Manager. Prior to our May 30 program start date all hours (35 weekly) will be required to be worked in-office Beginning May 30, required hours of work: Approximately 14 hours weekly will be required at the Charmaine Hooper soccer fields, assisting with onfield coordination of our recreational programs; from 5:158:15PM MondayThursday and 8:3011:30AM on Saturday mornings. Approximately 21 hours weekly will be spent inoffice; flexibility in the schedule for what days and hours will be worked inoffice is available. Attend and assist with organization of coach education sessions for recreational program coaches which will be held leading up to seasonstart Provide support as needed in our Soccer in Schools program and other community programming initiatives Respond to inquiries received by phone and email Assist current and prospective members with registration for Club programs Assist the Club Registrar in registering and deregistering recreational team officials and players in the Ontario Soccer (OS) registration database per registration policies Create teams and assign officials and players to teams in the Club database (PowerUp) Assist the Club Registrar in confirming all team officials have completed their required courses, screening and licenses before team assignment Prepare uniforms and equipment for distribution in coordination with the Club Equipment Manager and Recreational Program Manager Assist the Recreational Program Manager with the setup and teardown of equipment for all program sessions (evenings and Saturday mornings) Assist or substitute for recreational coaches in training sessions and games as required Provide a FUN, inclusive and engaging environment and learning experience for players Act as Club ambassador and point of contact at the field for all families in our recreational program to promote the Club and its programs in a meaningful and positive way Coordinate and assist with planning for our endofseason festival Liaise with league organizers to ensure coaches and families have necessary uptodate information about league play and schedules Organize and input team schedules in our registration platform Assist in the execution of social media, communications, and marketing initiatives in conjunction with our Communications and Operations Coordinator Other tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Recreational Program Manager Qualifications Completion of: Learn to Train coaching certification, Understanding the Rule of Two, Making Headway in Soccer, Emergency Action Planning & Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders. (Preferred; can be acquired after appointment to position) Level 3 : Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required.
