What Youll Do Ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls. Ensure that the department is fully stocked and ready for business. Ensure that the merchandise is properly signed and priced. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sellby dates, and expiration dates. Follow food safety and handling procedures, and sanitation and cleaning procedures. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels. Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines. Ensure all displays are secured safely and properly. Minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.30 per hour.
