A Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiating through Closing phases for media and entertainment organizations, as well as corporate entities. The PM focuses on written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders and oversees all project management functions on all projects, budgets, and scopes. The SPM acts as the primary point of responsibility and has direct control over all project activities. The Senior Project Manager may also mentor other Project Managers. What Youll Do - Complete systems integration projects on time, on budget, and achieve high customer satisfaction. - Manage projects and communicate with all project stakeholders. - Follow and help improve established Diversified processes. - Develop strong longterm client relationships, managing expectations, communications, and satisfaction. - Provide clear leadership and ownership for the project, including accurate verbal and written communication and followup. - Coordinate all activities associated with timely, accurate, and onbudget completion of the project, engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities, and running client and internal project meetings. - Support and assist team members to help them be successful. - Ensure appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders. - Resolve destructive conflict. - Design, plan, and coordinate work teams for installation projects. - Assume ownership of individual projects and assignments. - Maintain communication with Account Executives, Directors, engineers, installation technicians, subcontractors, and clients. - Communicate project updates as required. - Monitor labor, equipment, and materials budgets. - Provide or direct technical and administrative support to project team members and develop and maintain all related project schedules. - Perform field verification of prospective work sites, document all issues, and keep everyone informed of potential issues and solutions. - Coordinate drawings and documentation, facilitate and direct design reviews, coordinate system programming and final checkout, and provide punchlist of remaining tasks after substantial completion. - Contract with contractors and other trades when necessary. - Monitor status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing to ensure timely and accurate completion. - Ensure quality and continuous improvement. - Coordinate training and turnover of projects to client, service department, and sales. Complexity Every project is different and involves negotiating a complex set of variables between system design, site conditions, and widevarying stakeholder expectations. The SPM must regularly manage change, balance schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and client satisfaction, requiring high awareness, emotional intelligence, and peoplemanagement skills. DecisionMaking Authority - Takes full ownership of the project. - Acts as the single point of responsibility and accountability. - Ensures schedule performance, quality of solutions delivered to clients, and client satisfaction. - Manages and reports on the projects financials, ensuring budget performance and profitability. - Ensures timely and correct billing to the client. - Demonstrates proactivity, responsiveness, and followthrough. - Communicates decision options to stakeholders and manages those decisions. - Manages a complex array of decisions at every project point but is rarely the sole decision maker. Physical Demands Employees may be exposed to construction site conditions. Responsibilities include safety compliance, PPE use, and physical tasks such as climbing ladders, using stairs, and lifting up to 20 pounds. The role also requires frequent use of keyboards, test equipment, and controls for SI installation projects. When not on site, normal office conditions apply. Travel Employees must travel by car and occasionally by airplane. Travel constitutes 2040% of the role, with the remainder spent in office or remote settings. A valid drivers license in the employees state of residence is required. Safety - Maintain and wear appropriate PPE. - Ensure hazards are addressed and rectified timely. - Participate in incident investigations and reporting. - Conduct safety walkthroughs on project sites. - Prepare safety paperwork including JSA and site safety plans. What Youll Bring Education / Certifications - Associates/Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience. - PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. - Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred. Required Skills / Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years of systems integration experience, with 5+ years in project management. - Deep knowledge of media and entertainment or broadcast systems. - Knowledgeable of lowvoltage electrical projects. - Strong financial background in project cost accounting.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and peoplerelated problems. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Supervisory and people skills. - Great people leadership skills.
