What We Offer Group insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) RRSP with employer contributions Company-organized social activities Career advancement opportunities Free on-site parking Your Mission: Shaping Metal Perform various welding tasks Work with and understand different types of metals Brush, grind, and polish parts as needed Read and interpret blueprints Fabricate and assemble metal structures Repair vehicle transport trucks General maintenance Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor What You Already Master - Technical Skills Proficiency in welding processes: SMAW, GMAW (MIG), FCAW Plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting skills Ability to weld using used or recycled materials Blueprint reading and metal structure fabrication Experience repairing trucks and trailers Experience repairing mining equipment and heavy machinery (an asset) Use of magnetic drill and industrial grinder Strict adherence to workplace safety standards Desired Profile Strong expertise in welding, fabrication, and material preparation Experience with vehicle transport equipment Basic knowledge of road vehicle mechanics DEP in welding-assembly or equivalent diploma Proficiency in French (spoken and written) Attention to detail, precision, and accuracy Dynamic, disciplined, and team-oriented Autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility Compliance with health and safety rules Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication What You Can Expect from the Position Salary: $24.69/hr - $38.36/hr (based on relevant experience and collective agreement) Day shift: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday Ability to commute to work location: 435 Norman Street, Lachine (required) Employment Equity At Transport Laberge, we value diversity and are committed to employment equity.
