Experience: Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience, preferably in a postsecondary sector. Additional: Experience in student recruitment is an asset; experience developing, coordinating, and implementing programs with multiple stakeholders; managing volunteers, staff, and students. Responsibilities Enrollment/Admissions Collaborate with university central offices (Central Recruitment, Registrar, Central Marketing, Student Success Centre, Office of International Affairs, etc.) and represent the Faculty in all policies, practices, and procedures related to student recruitment. Share strategic recruitment direction for the Faculty with stakeholders, working with Central teams and departments/schools to attain input and build/manage relationships. Guide and influence outcomes by building strong and collaborative working relationships, advocating for the Faculty and supporting University strategies to meet enrollment targets while developing innovative programming and recruitment materials for domestic and international students. In consultation with the Dean of Faculty Affairs (DoFA), Dean, Associate Deans, and Associate Director, advise on and propose annual domestic and international enrollment targets for the Faculty, utilizing yearonyear trends and market analysis data. Assist in reviewing and monitoring admissions and entrance award structures and assessments; support the Associate Director in managing the annual enrollment management processes for all incoming students. Support monitoring of admissions enrollment statistics for all programs and work with central offices to analyze comparable faculties at competitor institutions. Evaluate, track, and support student transition supports (webinars, information sessions, New Student Guide Development, new student transition program planning), in collaboration with departments/schools and central offices such as Student Success and International Services, to support student retention. Strategic Planning & Leadership Overall responsibility for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment for the Faculty. Develop and implement fullcycle strategic plans aligned with Faculty and University priorities, competitor analyses, and market reports to guide tactical recruitment efforts; create systems to measure program effectiveness. Identify, recommend, and implement new Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategies for all outreach, recruitment, and admissions activities; report diversity data to senior leadership annually. Hold budget and operational authority for all Faculty Student Recruitment initiatives; create and manage financial budgets, operational plans, and related policies and reporting. Lead managers and specialists, coaching through HR aspects including assignment of work, hiring, training, performance management, and professional development of all direct reports. Recruitment & Admissions Develop and oversee the deployment of all student recruitment activities and strategies in the Faculty. Build and maintain highlevel relationships with priority external schools and organizations, and partner with internal recruitment and admissions teams. Design, implement, and maintain effective undergraduate and graduate recruitment strategies and initiatives aligned with annual domestic and international goals and increasing diversity. Represent the Faculty as a lead international recruitment contact (travel required). Explore emerging markets in alignment with the Faculty recruitment strategy. Develop a robust annual marketing and communication strategy in partnership with central offices for domestic and international prospects throughout the student journey. Analyze historic and current data to determine future recruitment markets, including strategic awareness campaigns, new market investment, conversion activities, cultural awareness, and best practices. Review and revise recruitment and provide strategic input and oversight of recruitmentrelated admission strategies annually to ensure consistency with Faculty and University objectives. Meet with and advise all Faculty departments and schools on recruitment strategies, curriculum revisions, and outreach initiatives that amplify unit strengths. Prepare statistical reports, cost and market analyses to guide subsequent recruitment cycles yearonyear and share broadly with central recruitment teams. Assist the Manager of Graduate Recruitment and Manager of Specialized Programs and the Undergraduate recruitment team in daytoday recruitment tasks as necessary. Collaborate with partners across campus to develop strategies ensuring a smooth transition from applicant to enrolled student; build and execute annual retention strategies and new programs to minimize prompt melt. Review enrollment results against targets and provide guidance and support to team to address gaps and enhance performance. Partner with the Registrars Office and School of Graduate Studies on campuswide initiatives and incorporate new processes into operational activities. Scholarships & Partnerships Manage the Facultybased entrance award program for undergraduate applicants, developing application questions, evaluation criteria, and advertising scholarships. Partner with external organizations to create recruitment pipelines through youth outreach and scholarships; develop and negotiate MOUs or sponsorship agreements. Develop and manage relationships with elementary and secondary school teachers and administrators to bring STEM programming to youth. Create funding strategies to support outreach and access programs, including grants, partnerships, public and private support; write grant proposals and coordinate campus partnerships. Marketing & Communications Collaborate with the Faculty Marketing & Communications team to develop print and digital marketing materials, including advertisements, videos, and viewbooks. Partner with the Marketing & Communications team for innovative content marketing initiatives that enable current students to tell their story across multiple platforms (web, social media, live events); spearhead student storytelling opportunities. Other Support the Managers who oversee program recruitment initiatives during peak periods, ensuring prospect inquiries are managed efficiently. Serve as the delegate of the Associate Director where requested. Within the Faculty, serve as a committee member or consultant on various committees. Outside of the Faculty, represent the Faculty on universitywide committees related to recruitment and admissions, including the Enrollment Management Team and others deemed necessary.
