Position Manager, Finance, Billing & Collections to play a key role in strengthening the firms financial performance, cash flow, and decision-making. This is a highly visible, strategic role at the intersection of finance, operations, and legal practice groups. You will partner closely with the Director of Finance, firm leadership, and lawyers to provide insight, drive accountability, and enhance overall financial performance. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys moving beyond traditional accounting into analysis, advisory, and business partnering. What Youll Be Doing Strategic Financial Analysis & Reporting Analysis of firm financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and cash flow trends Develop and deliver reporting and insights to senior leadership, the Accounts Committee, and our Managing Partner Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning Identify risks and opportunities related to revenue, collections, and financial performance Revenue & Working Capital Management Monitor and analyze key metrics including WIP, accounts receivables, collections, and days in lock-up Partner with lawyers to improve billing discipline, collections outcomes, and overall financial performance Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive improved cash flow and reduce write-offs Support firm-wide initiatives to optimize the billing and collections cycle Business Partnering & Advisory Act as a trusted advisor to lawyers and leadership on financial performance and decision-making Translate financial data into clear, practical insights for non-financial stakeholders Support pricing, alternative fee arrangements, and financial strategy discussions Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement Lead and support initiatives to modernize financial reporting, dashboards, and automation Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and accessibility of financial information Partner with Finance and IT teams to enhance systems and reporting tools Leadership & Oversight Provide oversight of billing and collections functions through team leads (not day-to-day supervision) Support alignment, accountability, and performance across the revenue cycle Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Controller on broader finance initiatives Financial Operations Support Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Support month-end, year-end, and audit activities as needed Assist with development of financial policies, processes, and controls What Youll Need 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment Strong financial modeling and analytical capability Experience with revenue analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting Ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial concepts clearly Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment CPA designation (or near completion) would be an asset Exposure to billing, WIP, and collections processes Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., dashboards) We recognize that experience can come in different forms. What We Offer The expected salary range for this role is likely to be between $100,000 and $140,000, with the final salary determined based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
