POSITION DESCRIPTION: Les Jardins de Renoir is a welcoming residence located in a prime area in the heart of the Chomedey district in Laval. We are currently seeking a talented and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Permanent part-time position, 7/15, with the possibility of shift work. Day and evening shifts, one weekend out of two. ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans (TNPs) for residents requiring special clinical care Collaborate with residents for medical visits Contribute to the development of a residents action plan based on their observations Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmires auxiliaires du Qubec (OIIAQ) Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents'' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.) Participate in health assessments of new residents or whenever it is required Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness Respond to all emergency situations Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions Upon requests from physicians, pharmacists or the CISSS, follow up on residents medical dossiers and prescriptions EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing PDSB training Up to date CPR / AED training certificates Member of the OIIAQ Similar experience of a minimum of 2 years Knowledge of senior residences, a major asset BENEFITS: Salary to be discussed Uniform provided Referral Program Recognition program Free meals in the dining room Group insurance Sick days and time off for family obligations Vacation Employee Assistance Program Human management approach Consistent schedule Career Opportunity Group RRSP with employer contribution Social club JOB STATUS: Permanent: Part Time JOB SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule
