This net new role is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in NetSuite development within a supportive and collaborative team environment.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport NetSuite ERP implementations, enhancements, and optimizations under the supervision of project leadership and functional consultantsAssist in translating functional requirements into technical solutions, providing technical input and recommendations as neededDevelop, test, and deploy custom NetSuite solutions using SuiteScript (2.x), workflows, saved searches, and SuiteBuilderSupport the development and maintenance of integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs and file-based integrationsParticipate in data migration, system configuration, testing, and deployment activities across NetSuite implementationsCollaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and project managers to ensure technical solutions align with business objectivesPerform troubleshooting and debugging to identify and resolve technical issuesContribute to the development and adoption of BDO's NetSuite development standards, best practices, and coding conventionsCreate and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and configurationsParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality across the teamSupport knowledge transfer sessions and assist with creating training materials for internal teams and clientsLearning and GrowthActively learn and apply BDO's internal NetSuite development standards, including coding conventions, naming conventions, error-handling protocols, and documentation requirementsGain hands-on experience with the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and version control systems like GitDevelop proficiency in testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniquesBuild understanding of ERP business processes, including finance, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-reportParticipate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, code reviews, and training programs to accelerate your professional developmentWork toward NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer) with support from BDOStay current with NetSuite platform updates, new features, and industry best practicesHow Do We Define Success for Your Role?You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and CollaborationYou show a strong eagerness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve your technical skillsYou deliver quality work on time and seek feedback to improve your performanceYou work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the work environmentYou communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clientsYou take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate accountability for your workYou actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplaceYou provide thoughtful technical inputs and recommendations that contribute to successful project outcomesYour Experience and EducationApproximately 2 years of NetSuite development experience, including hands-on work with SuiteScript (2.x)Solid understanding of SuiteScript (Client, User Event, Suitelet), NetSuite workflows (SuiteFlow), saved searches, and NetSuite customizationExposure to full-cycle NetSuite implementations, including development, testing, and deployment activitiesExperience or familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integration conceptsUnderstanding of ERP business processes such as finance, order-to-cash, or procure-to-payFamiliarity with the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and source control (e.g., Git) is an assetNetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer) will be considered in the selection processStrong problem-solving attitude and willingness to learnGood communication and documentation skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentSelf-motivated with the ability to seek guidance when needed and provide technical insights proactivelyThe expected range of compensation for this role is $68,000 to $104,000.Why BDO?Our people-first approach to talent has earned us a spot among Canadas Top 100 Employers for 2026.
